UPDATE: Head-on crash sees woman injured

12.45pm:

THE KZN police media centre’s Col Jay Naicker confirmed a 31-year-old man was arrested  at the scene of a collision along Kingsway, Winklespruit on Sunday, 9 March.

He is expected to appear  in the Amanzimtoti Magistrates Court today (Monday, 10 March) in connection with a charge of drunk driving.

9:25am:

A WOMAN was seriously injured in a head-on collision along Kingsway,Winklespruit on Sunday evening, 9 March.

“Paramedics arrived at the scene at about 7.20pm and found the vehicles and debris obstructing the roadway. After the woman was stabilised, she was taken to a local hospital for the care she required. The driver of the second vehicle was uninjured,” said Chris Botha of Netcare 911.

The incident will be investigated by police.
