UPDATE: Three die in multiple car pile-up – MORE PHOTOS
Traffic has been diverted off the N2 northbound by the off-ramp to Galleria after a multi-vehicle pile-up, in which three people died on Friday morning, 4 April.
UPDATE: One woman and two men died after four vehicles collided in an accident on the N2 south.
“Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the wreckages scattered around over a very large area,” said Netcare 911 spokesman, Chris Botha.
“After triaging, they established three people had died. Three others were injured and after they were stabilised, paramedics transported them to local hospitals.”
It is still not known what caused the crash.
The accident occurred at about 8.30am. Due to the backlog of traffic, the N2 northbound has been closed.
