A twenty-one-year-old female is fighting for her life after she was hit by a vehicle on the Umgababa bridge over the N2 on Sunday morning, 4 May at about 9.30am.
“Reports from the scene indicate that two vehicles collided,” said Netcare 911 media liaison, Chris Botha. “A bakkie then veered off hit the woman who was sitting on the grass verge, threw her about 50 metres and went over her.
Netcare 911 and provincial paramedics arrived at the scene and found the injured female lying unresponsive in the grass next to the roadway.” Paramedics stabilised her at the scene, before she was airlifted her hospital.
