Bowls champs decided at Winkle BC

WINKLESPRUIT Bowling Club women’s nominated pairs 2-4-2 third round saw Estelle van der Merwe and Gladys Yelland beat Jeannette Els and Elmarie Young.
The women’s nominated pairs champions are Estelle van der Merwe and Gladys Yelland who beat Jeannette Els and Elmarie Young in the final.
The mixed nominated pairs champions are Gladys Yelland and Freddy Hethersheidt who beat Jeannette and Paul Els.
In the mixed drawn pairs 2-4-2 final, Annalie Pienaar and Martin Young beat Charlotte Kolh and Dries Snyman.
In the men’s senior singles final, Bill Rawlinson beat Eddie Bingham. The men’s drawn pairs 2-4-2 champions are Bill Rawlinson and Brian Bodley who beat Alan Raubenheimer and Des Robarts.
Last Sunday the Grand Canyon mixed trips second session went to Mike and Di Kruger and Trish Farmer. Overall winners were Greg Dickason, Sandy Snyman and Harry van Vuuren. The 100 board was won by Lynette van Vuuren.
On Saturday, 30 August the club’s AGM will be held at 9am. Social bowls can be played afterwards. Then on Sunday, 31 August, the wannabe turkey day will be held starting at 9am.
