Kuswag runner-up in schools figure skating contest

Skaters from 16 schools participated in the competition.

Kuswag Skool was runner-up at the second KZN inter-schools figure skating competition held during the school holidays at Galleria Ice Rink.

Participating Toti schools included Amanzimtoti High School, Amanzimtoti Primary School, Kuswag, and Warner Beach Prep.

“The purpose of this competition is to promote figure skating as a sport in KZN and showcase the talent from different schools,” said coach, Wendy van der Hammen. “Hopefully as figure skating grows as a sport in this province, more schools will acknowledge the pupils’ achievements and recognise figure skating as a school sport.”
