Arrive hungry at Mooihawens fete
The fete is to raise funds for the home.
Put some money in your pocket and get to Mooihawens on Saturday, 1 November for its annual fete.
“The fete is to raise funds for the home,” said Mooihawens social worker, Elize Potgieter. “Some of the proceeds will go towards our Mooihawens help fund to assist those residents who cannot pay their service fees, and some to enclose the outside garden on our dementia floor.”
The fete will feature scrumptious goodies such as pancakes, ginger beer, vetkoek, confectionary, pudding, mutton curry and wors rolls.
Visitors can also enjoy music from a juke box, browse through crafts and bric-a-brac stalls, or relax in the tea garden.
“It will be a nice, fun morning,” said Elize.
The fete opens from 9am to 1pm at Tabor Hall, 5 Middleton Road, Winklespruit.
