SAPS member, Martin Boyens contacted Rupert Smit at about 5.45am to inform him that thieves were in the process of attempting to steal a car at Toti main beach parking and asked for assistance.

“When they went to investigate, they saw the thieves in the process of stealing a white Toyota Tazz at Pipeline beach,” said CCPO operations manager, Leon Joone.

“The thieves jumped into a white Mercedes and sped off, almost knocking Martin and Rupert over.”
