Cops collar 22 criminals

Four people were arrested for possession of whoonga.

TOTI SAPS made 26 arrests between Tuesday, 26 May and Sunday 31 May.

One person was arrested for murder; one for sexual assault; three for residential housebreaking; four for shoplifting and five for general theft.

In other crimes, a person was nabbed for malicious damage to property; another for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition and one person in possession of a dangerous weapon.

In drug-related crimes, four people were arrested for possession of whoonga and two for dagga.

Two people were caught for urinating in public and another for breach of peace.

Police also recovered a number of items including 14 straws of whoonga; four slopes of dagga; a firearm with two live rounds of ammunition; a television and two cellphones (Nokia and Samsung found at the scene of an accident).
