Are children in taxis less precious?
It is Child Protection Week
EDITOR – It is Child Protection Week and we have been encouraged by the drive for child safety in various areas.
A new law has been passed which states that children under three-years-old must be in child safety seats or a fine will be issued. This is wonderful news.
However, the question arises as to what is happening with children in taxis and buses? Will the vehicles be issued with free safety seats or will the mothers have to bring them?
If there are unrestrained children in these vehicles will the drivers be fined or will they be exempted? Are the lives of these children less precious?
JUST WONDERING
