Monkey injured in tangle at electricity sub-station

Toti fire officials called CROW to assist the injured monkey

The loud bang which was heard across Doonside at about 10am today (Monday, 8 February) left many residents puzzled as to its origins.

It appears a monkey got caught in electricity cables at the Doonside sub-station, which resulted in the loud noise.

The injured monkey was attended to by the Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) after being called out by Toti fire officials who responded.

No electricity outages were reported as a result of the incident.
