Call your school
Opt for the old-school method by giving the department a call on the day that the results are released. Just take note that a lot of matric learners will be calling in to find out their results so you might wait for quite a while. Dial 082 152 for your results.
I remember one of my friends failed matric, she swallowed her pride and went back to try again, today she has a diploma #MatricResults2016

The newspaper
Your results will be published in the daily newspapers, and News24 will also have them available online. While it will not be your full results, you’ll see whether or not you have passed and what symbol you passed with – a B for a Bachelor’s Pass, D for Diploma and so on.
Teacher unions are optimistic that matric results will improve in KZN #MatricResults2016 #sabcnews @FaneleMhlongo1

Your cellphone
You can receive your results on your cellphone. The SABC has a News Break Matric Results Service which allows you to receive your results as soon as they’re released.
Follow these steps to sign up for the service: SMS your exam number and ID number to 35658 at an once-off cost of R3 when you register. When the Department of Education releases the results, you will receive your results via SMS immediately.
Spare a thought for those awaiting the #MatricResults2016. Whatever happens, don't allow this to be your defining moment.
