TODAY, 25 May is Geek Pride Day so unleash your Lord of the Rings or Star Trek loving side and be proud.
The date corresponds with three popular events in the sci-fi world, namely the release of the first Star Wars film on 25 May 1977; The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy fan’s ‘Towel Day’ and ‘The Glorious 25th of May” celebrated by Discworld fans.
Geekdom used to be a term that was shied away from, however people have learned to embrace their geeky side and follow pursuits that allow them to shine where they may have been looked down on before.
