The public is urged to support the drive, as dog owners are legally required to ensure their pets are vaccinated against the rabies virus annually.
The rabies clinic takes place from 9.30am to 11..30am on Friday, 23 March at Amanzimtoti SPCA in Nyati Road, Athlone Park.
The rabies vaccine will be dispensed to dogs free of charge, while pet owners can ensure their dogs receive the five-in-one vaccination at a cost of R200.
