Help create unforgettable memories for orphans
This will be the first time most of these children will see the sea and the organisers are trying to make it as memorable for them as possible.
An appeal is made to Toti residents to assist with making a group of orphans’ visit to the seaside a memorable one.
“Every second year we have the lovely group of orphans from Louis Botha Children’s Home in Pretoria stay with us for a week,” said Happy Days Holiday Flats manager, Louise Oosthuysen. “They are coming again during the June and July school holidays and they will stay in Amanzimtoti from 1 to 10 July. There are a total of 12 children aged between seven and 18-years-old, plus a housemother and father,” said Louise.
The holiday flats, with the assistance of the Roadhogs Durban Motorcycle Club, will hold a fundraiser for the group on Saturday, 26 May. “We would like to arrange something special for them, as their budget does not allow any activities other than their accommodation and travel expenses.
“This will be the first time most of these children will see the sea and enjoy the beach and we are trying to make it as memorable for them as possible. Any donations, whether it be meal vouchers, or donations towards activities or activities themselves, will be greatly appreciated.”
Enjoy craft and food stalls, plus a cash bar. Entry fee is R60 per person, including a cloth badge. Metal badges cost R20 extra. Free entry to all club presidents.
