Support Alma’s fundraising auction

The organisers are setting a minimum of R1,000 as the winning bid.

An ‘Aid For Alma’ Facebook auction is being hosted by PDA Health on Friday from 9am to 9.30am. “We will auction off an accredited first aid level 1 with a regulation seven first aid kit via live video streaming on our Facebook page to raise funds for Alma,” said managing director, Stefan Beytell.

Sixteen-year-old Alma was diagnosed with lymphoma leukaemia in October and started chemotherapy last November. Last week her parents received the dreaded phone call from their medical aid that their benefits are running out and they have started a fundraising campaign on the Gogetfunding platform to assist with Alma’s medical bills.

The winner will be required to pay their bid to Alma within 24 hours of the end of the auction. It will run for 30 minutes and the highest bid at the end of the 30 minutes will win.

“We are setting a minimum of R1,000 as the winning bid, and anything under the reserve will be at the discretion of the organisers. We will also offer a free first aid course to Alma when she is ready for it.”
