Toti response officers help net remote jammers

Once the vehicle was pulled over, it was found the vehicle had false plates attached and was stolen in Sydenham.

Remote jammers found themselves behind bars when they crossed paths with Amanzimtoti response officers on Tuesday, 12 May.

Two weeks ago, Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) and ET Rapid Response received information from another security source relating to the jammers’ vehicle being involved in an incident at Ultra City, Umgababa and then at another petrol station near Gallaria soon after and the search was on.

Through some good networking among the various security and police groups, their run came to an abrupt end when members in Kloof spotted the vehicle in their area on Tuesday. Once the vehicle was pulled over, it was found the vehicle had false plates attached and was stolen in Sydenham,” said CCPO committee member, George Snodey.

It was also determined that they were wanted for a remote jamming case in Westville. Make sure when you park your car that you check your vehicle is locked, as they can remote jam you from a long way away,” warned Snodey.
