The owner of a hijacked vehicle is grateful to the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) that was close at hand to aid in the recovery of her car last night (Monday, 27 May).
The woman had stopped to open her gate in Gus Brown Road, Warner Beach at about 7pm. Fortunately CCPO committee member, George Snodey was parked about 100m away and he went to investigate when he heard the screeching tyres. “When the woman told me she had just been hijacked, I shared the information over the CCPO radio network.”
Tracking companies were joined by CCPO, ET Rapid Response and Blue Security officers to search for the vehicle. A tracking officer tracked the vehicle to Folweni and he chased the vehicle until the suspect crashed and bolted. The vehicle was recovered.
