SPCA’s fur-babies need assistance

The funds raised will be used to assist with their food and medical needs.

Amanzimtoti SPCA is running low on tin food for all its animals.

“We are making an urgent appeal for rice to feed our animals. We go through 10kg every three days. Rice mixed with chicken and pet mince is given to all our animals. This helps to fatten them up and bind their stomachs when they have a loose tummy. Consider donating rice, mince or barley,” said the organisation’s Michelle Hannan.

Cat lovers can also sponsor any of the SPCA’s yard cats for R50 or more a month. These cats are either rescued or surrendered to the organisation. The funds raised will be used to assist with their food and medical needs.

“Thank you for all your support during these difficult times. We appreciate all the support you have shown us. At the moment we are very low on tin food for all animals. Consider donating tin food or perhaps making a money donation, so that we can buy food.”

To help, drop off dog or cat food, or rice at its offices at 1 Nyati Road, Athlone Park, or donate funds into the following account: Amanzimtoti SPCA, FNB, current account, account number: 62807184552, branch code: 220127.
