Neighbourhood watch to conduct roadshow

The Toti Residential Night Watch is active in Toti Berea, an area bordered by Adams Road, Peacehaven, Lewis Drive, Umdoni and Bernadotte streets.

The Toti Residential Night Watch will conduct a marketing drive on Sunday, October 3, where they will be joined by local security companies as well as Saps in a roadshow convoy.

The neighbourhood watch, which is registered as a non profit organisation, is active in Toti Berea, an area bordered by Adams Road, Peacehaven, Lewis Drive, Umdoni and Bernadotte streets. Chairperson, Gary Kelly, said the aim of the drive is to unite the community in order to keep the neighbourhood safe.

“During the riots in July, neighbours came out and stood united to protect their neighbourhood. We need that to continue so that people can feel safe in their homes,” said Kelly.

The meeting point for the drive will be the area next to Amanzimtoti Primary School at 11:30, and the drive will commence at 12:00. For more information, the Toti Residential Night Watch’s email address is info@totibereanw@org.za or Kelly may be called on 082 375 6543.
