Passenger found dead in Tecoma Road shooting

The incident is being investigated by members of the SAPS.

JUST after 07:00 today, Friday, June 24, Emer-G-Med paramedics, together with ET Rapid Response, responded to an incident on Tecoma Road in Kingsburgh.

A vehicle was noted to be obstructing the roadway with an unresponsive passenger seated in the front of the e-hailing vehicle.

“On closer inspection, the vehicle was noted to have bullet holes, and the occupant, a male, approximately 30 years old, was found to have sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on arrival,” said Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen.

He said the motive behind the shooting and the events preceding it are unclear.

The crime scene is still active, and the police are processing the scene.
