Rabies vaccination clinic to be held in Amanzimtoti

These vaccinations are done free of charge by the State Vet.

DUE to the outbreak of rabies, the eThekwini Department of Agriculture has scheduled a vaccination campaign to take place in Amanzimtoti and surrounding areas from July 18 to 22.

It is vitally important that residents get their dogs and cats vaccinated to prevent cases of rabies in the area.

These are the scheduled dates, times and sites:

  • On Monday, July 18, from 08:30 to 11:00, the clinic will be at Arbour Crossing shopping centre, and from 11:30 to 13:30, at Athlone Park library.
  • On Tuesday, July 19, at the Amanzimtoti Civic Centre, from 08:00 to 11:00, and in the Seadoone Mall parking lot from 11:30 to 13:30.
  • On Wednesday, July 20, in Warner Beach behind the library on Hall Road, from 08:30 to 11:00, and in St Winifreds at the Plowman Park Playlot outside the supermarket from 11:00 to 13:30.
  • On Thursday, July 21, at the old Illovo sugar mill from 08:30 to 11:00, and on PA Naicker Road, next to the temple, from 11:30 to 13:30.
  • On Friday, July 22, at the Winklespruit Pick ‘n Pay shopping centre parking lot from 08:30 to 11:00, and in Illovo Beach on Elizabeth Ave, opposite the postbox cluster from 11:30 to 13:00.
