Budding Warner Beach cricketer wins accolades
Jeremy was named Player of the Match in one of the matches.
WARNER Beach Preparatory School learner, Jeremy Tholë, was recently selected by the Dolphins School of Excellence to play in the inaugural U9 Super 8 tournament which took place at Crawford International in La Lucia.
The tournament saw eight teams divided into two groups, vying for top honours. Jeremy was drafted into the Erwee Eliminators team, which won the eight-aside, three-day affair. The Dolphin School of Excellence is a cricket development programme that was created to enhance collaboration between all youth cricket stakeholders.

Heinrich Strydom, who is the CEO of the KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Union, said the Dolphin School of Excellence was created to be a department on its own.
“It has the Dolphins brand and Hollywoodbets Kingsmead; it speaks to the whole KwaZulu-Natal community, but it is not part of our formal pipeline that is regulated by Cricket South Africa, so it is a separate entity that feeds into the formal pipeline. All cricket stakeholders can get an opportunity to be part of this programme,” said Heinrich.
Earlier this year, Jeremy was named the Amanzimtoti Cricket Club’s U9 Batsman of the Year, as well as Player of the Year. In a statement, his school said they were very proud of Jeremy as he was named Player of the Match in one of his games.
