Bathers welcome to enjoy 21 beaches across eThekwini

With the majority of beaches passing the municipality's weekly water quality test, bathers are expected to continue enjoying local beaches.

THE shores of the Sapphire Coast are beckoning bathers to take a trip to the beach after the eThekwini Municipality’s beach water quality visits yielded positive results for all but one beach.

“The closure is necessary to safeguard public health and will remain in place until water quality improves. All other beaches are unaffected and will continue to welcome visitors,” read the notice.

Beach water quality samples are taken weekly and results are shared with the public as soon as they become available. For more information on beach water quality visit www.durban.gov.za.
