AN E-HAILING vehicle, a Toyota Rumion, hijacked in Lotus Park, was swiftly recovered in Umlazi recently after strategic co-ordination among the recovering parties.

In a statement, Blue Security said its tactical officers received information regarding the incident and the vehicle’s last known location was provided by a tracking company.

“Working alongside Cartrack, a Blue Security tactical officer immediately proceeded to the reported location. Arriving first on scene, the officer took the lead and entered the area to locate the vehicle,” read the statement.

The hijacked vehicle was spotted and positively identified by the officer as another security service provider arrived at the scene to assist. After the successful recovery, the vehicle was secured for further investigation by the police.
