Prospecton fire hydrant installation to impact water supply

A planned water interruption has been announced for tomorrow affecting Prospecton and surrounding areas.

WORK is set to commence on May 16 for a water infrastructure upgrade project in Prospecton.

The City’s Marketing and Communications Directorate released a statement today (May 15) informing residents and businesses that the water supply of Prospecton and surrounding areas will be interrupted from the morning of May 16. It is anticipated that the installation will be completed on the same day by around 23:00.

The interruption is necessary to facilitate the installation of 11 fire hydrants on a 400mm diameter pipeline located along Prospecton Road, between Avenue East and Joyner Road.

  • Isipingo Hills
  • Prospecton Industrial
  • Isipingo Rail
  • Isipingo Beach
  • Athlone Park
  • Galleria Mall
  • Arbour Crossing
  • Kingsway Hospital
