World Food Day observed in Magabheni
The event also provided an opportunity to roll out the campaign to end gender-based violence in in accordance with the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
A WORLD Food Day event that was supposed to have been held in October but was cancelled, was finally held on December 10, in Magabheni.

KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Social Development, Nonhlanhla Khoza, together with the Agriculture and Rural Development MEC, Bongiwe Sithole Moloi, told the gathered crowds that their respective departments have endeavoured to help create stable food systems for communities following the devastating natural disasters and unrest.
“As a community, you all can play a big role in local food systems as well as contributing to greater food security and socio-economic prosperity,” said Khoza.
The event also provided Khoza an opportunity to roll out the campaign to end gender-based violence in in accordance with the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
