Kingsburgh Welfare restocks their food cupboard
The welfare thanks the Kingsburgh Lions Club and community members for responding to their appeal for groceries.
THE Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare recently received a much-needed donation of food from the Lions Club of Kingsburgh, during their food drive collection.
Lion president, Tony Marron, thanked all the wonderful shoppers at Checkers Seadoone Mall who donated food and/or money. “We had the best collection we have ever had. Two trolleys full to the top and over R800 in donations. It was very kind of everyone – thank you,” he said.

The food was donated to the welfare, with some going to Turning Point. The cash will go into their coffers. “Be assured that every cent we raise is spent on local community projects,” said Marron.

The welfare’s social worker, Sandra Govender, expressed her gratitude towards the community-service organisation and members of the community who responded to their appeal for groceries.
