Help Umgababa fire victim rebuild her home

Papas Hope Organisation is appealing to the community to assist by donating food, clothes and building materials.

PAPAS Hope Organisation appeals to the community for assistance for a woman whose house burnt down, leaving her with nothing but the clothes on her back.

The non-profit organisation’s founder and chairperson, Papas Luthuli said Promise Dube, a pensioner in Umgagaba, approached them for help.

“Her house burnt down last month, leaving her with nothing. She currently relies on her next door neighbours for food and accommodation. We are appealing for assistance for her to try and rebuild her home,” he said.

Donations such as food, clothes and building materials are needed, and can be dropped off at Papas Hope’s office next to Umgababa Primary School.

Papas Hope was formed after witnessing some of the poorest conditions some of the community members are living in. All its community upliftment projects come from the pockets of volunteers, Papas Hope therefore appeals to businesses and the public to come on board by either donating or offering sponsorship.
