Warner Beach subway murals restored after vandalism
Beloved Amanzimtoti artist, Christine Andrews, came to the rescue at Warner Beach subway after its murals were defaced by vandals.
AFTER vandals defaced the subway tunnel in Warner Beach, Amanzimtoti artist Christine Andrews came to the rescue, giving it some much-needed attention and a splash of restorative colour.
Sapphire Coast Tourism’s Romy Wenzel expressed her appreciation to Andrews and humbly asked community members to respect and protect its murals and community project, as every effort makes a difference in creating a more vibrant, welcoming Sapphire Coast.

Warner Beach South Neighbourhood Watch (WBSNW) recognised vandalism, loitering, begging and infrastructure theft as a continued concern for the neighbourhood and assured that its members continue to patrol and monitor the area on its extensive camera network. WBSNW encouraged the community to assist with any information regarding the vandalism of murals in the community.
