Folweni’s dedicated police officer retires
Warrant Officer Bongani Mbeje retired after working as a policeman for 33 years.
AFTER 33 years of loyal service as a policeman, Warrant Officer Bongani Mbeje hung his crime-fighting boots on February 29.

He retired while working at the Folweni Police Station but has previously worked at many other stations in the province, including Mariannhill, Umbumbulu and Isipingo. February 28 marked his 33rd work anniversary, and his colleagues pulled out all the stops to make the day memorable by organising a big party to celebrate with him for the last time.
Folweni SAPS’s station commander, Lieutenant Colonel Nkululeko Kweyama, handed Mbeje a certificate of good service as well as a sheep. Mbeje also received various other farewell gifts from his former colleagues. SAPS management thanked Warrant Officer Mbeje for his loyal service and for always being willing to serve the community at any given time.
