IT WAS a morning of hustle and bustle as teachers and parents worked together to make certain the first day of school was a memorable and successful one.
The first day back can be a daunting one, especially with the stress parents experience as the working world kicks into gear, however it was smooth sailing for schools in the Amanzimtoti and surrounding areas.
Parents and their children toured the halls and classrooms as part of orientation for Umbogintwini Primary School, and each Grade 1 learner got the chance to ring the bell for the first time before being sorted into their respective classes.
A teacher at the school, Sinead Thomas, wished all learners making their way back into school, and all grade Rs and 1s, an exceptional year ahead. “We will continue to foster green minds and golden hearts at Umbogintwini Primary School,” added Thomas.
