Masibhamu Development Centre was established in 2016 to look after children who are physically challenged and those with other psychological difficulties, from four to 18 years of age.

Situated at Umgababa, at the EV Mthembu Methodist Church, the centre noticed a degree of negligence for such children with special needs because they do not fit in the normal education stream system.

The organisation works alongside the Department of Education. The NPO provides therapist services which perform assessments, develop individual treatment plans, and monitor the progress of each child.

The nature of operating as a non-profit necessitates that the centre is supported by the community it services. The organisation has wish-listed the following essentials should you wish to assist: food, clothing, blankets, nappies, cleaning equipment and toiletries, mattresses, wheelchairs, cabinets, towels, toys, books and storage cases.
