Load shedding starts tonight

After 20 days of uninterrupted power supply, residents will be left in the dark on short notice as Eskom announces load shedding.

ESKOM has announced that electricity load shedding will be starting this evening (February 22).

In a statement, Eskom announced that the abrupt load shedding announcement was a result of temporary setbacks.

“As a result, Stage 3 load shedding will be implemented from today at 17:30 until further notice,” said the statement.

The announcement comes after 20 days of uninterrupted power supply.
