Le Roux, who previously managed Igesund’s hardware store on The Bluff, is accused of siphoning millions from the business between June 2015 and December 2021. The exact amount will be revealed in court. Prosecutors are still determining whether additional charges will be added to the case.
While Le Roux was not arrested, she was served with a summons to appear in court. At the time of the alleged crimes, she and Igesund were in a relationship and living together in his Amanzimtoti home.
According to Igesund, Le Roux became the manager of the business after he was involved in a motorbike accident which left him with serious head injuries on June 19, 2014. Igesund was in a coma for nine days and in hospital for a month. As a result of the injuries, he took no active part in the business until his condition improved gradually. After Le Roux left Igesund, he instituted an internal audit into the financial affairs of the business and realised that large amounts of money were missing.

In court, Le Roux said that she would be represented by a lawyer who ended up not arriving.
Igesund told the SUN that he was relieved that after four years of battling and searching for answers, the investigation was completed.
The matter was adjourned until May 8.
In February 2022, Igesund and his son, Taiga, trended on social media after they were attacked by unknown armed men outside his business on The Bluff. In a CCTV footage, Igesund and his son could be seen exiting from their vehicle, when a white car reversed and four armed men jumped out.
The suspects could be seen trying to grab a hold of Igesund, and his son grabbed one of the armed men in an attempt to get the man away from his father. Igesund ran towards the back of his vehicle before drawing his firearm and firing at the assailants who then fled. The suspects are still at large.
