South Coast ‘shutter bugs’ awarded for their photographs [Pics]

Newbies and experienced photographers of the Sapphire Coast Camera Club enter monthly in-club competitions - these are April's winners.

THE Sapphire Coast Camera Club held their monthly meeting at the Cutty Sark Hotel in Scottburgh on April 15, where the winners for the month were recognised for their photographic eye.

The fledgling club’s photographers for the month in the senior, junior and set subject categories showed off their submissions to their fellow members. Helena du Plessis won in the best senior category with her photograph of a sungrouse, while Peter Mcintyre’s birding prowess earned him the best set subject award. Sharon Zunckel was the final winner with her photograph entitled ‘Eyes on the prize’. Mcintyre’s ‘Marico sunbird in love’ also won him the best senior award for the Photographic Society of South Africa’s website competition for last month. Tim McClurg was also recognised in the competition and won best junior for his picture, ‘Spectacled weaver’.
