The pageant was held in Pretoria, where the adorable six-year-old wowed judges and the public. In addition to taking the main title in her category, Sbahle scooped several special awards, including the Public Choice Award for receiving the highest number of votes, the Philanthropist Award for her outstanding efforts in charity tasks such as donations, radio and newspaper interviews, and the award for Best Social Media Influencer.

Her victory has earned her the honour of representing SA at the Little Miss Africa continental pageant in Nairobi, Kenya, from March 29 to April 4, 2026, where titleholders from across the continent will compete for the crown.

Sbahle’s mother, Nonhlanhla Chiliza, expressed deep gratitude for the support her daughter has received.

“I would like to thank everyone who prayed, supported, advised and voted for us, including the anonymous person who sponsored us with R16 000. Thank you to my family, my sons and my mother for assisting with accommodation, compulsory tickets, the gala dinner outfit and national costume. I’m especially grateful to her grandmother, who provided food money and sewed the beautiful evening gown,” said Nonhlanhla.

Looking ahead to the Kenya event, Nonhlanhla said Sbahle will require intensive training, as the competition will be tougher than anything she has previously faced. The estimated cost for the international trip is R70 000, and as an unemployed qualified teacher, Nonhlanhla is appealing for support, sponsorships and donations. She added she would be grateful for a job opportunity to help cover the expenses herself. To assist or donate, contact Nonhlanhla on 078 379 7971.
