Second car stolen in Illovo Glen recovered

During the invasion, which occurred around 04:00, two cars, a firearm and various household items were taken.

THE second car that was taken during a home invasion on St Raphael Avenue in Illovo Glen during the early hours of this morning (August 25) has been recovered in Umlazi.

During the invasion around 04:00, two cars, a firearm and various household items were taken. The first car, a Mercedes Benz, was recovered a few hours later at Umlazi’s Y-section, where it had crashed. A few of the stolen items were found inside.

In a statement, ET Rapid Response said its tactical response team acted on reliable information and found the second vehicle, a Ford sedan, abandoned in Umlazi W-section.

 

“The vehicle was secured and handed over to the police flying squad for further processing,” read the statement.
