It is a school-based collection drive of baking ingredients, enabling schools, learners and families to help supply Cupcakes of Hope bakers so that they can continue raising funds for children fighting cancer. These funds are used for medical bills, nutritional support, life-saving transplants and monthly care for patients.
For more information on how to register your school, contact Cupcakes of Hope on bake@cupcakesofhope.org. You will then receive your starter kit with instructions and posters to launch the drive and start collecting.
How it works:
- Parents speak to school management to get a buy-in.
- Cupcakes of Hope provides a bake box kit for families to donate non-perishable ingredients.
- Once full, Cupcakes of Hope collects the box and the ingredients go directly to regional bakers for National Cupcake Day and other fundraisers.
What ingredients can be collected?
- Flour, cocoa powder and cooking oil.
- Icing sugar and caster sugar.
- Sprinkles and sweet treats like Smarties, M&Ms, gummy bears and more.
