Amanzimtoti Lions provide diabetes screenings

Amanzimtoti's dedicated Lions club members took the time to provide diabetes screenings for the community at Seadoone Mall.

FOLLOWING World Diabetes Day last week, the Lions Club of Amanzimtoti rolled out to Seadoone Mall where they provided free diabetes screenings to community members.

Lions, Shane Tocher, and Carol and Colin Mackintosh were among the members that carried out the potentially life-saving screenings.

A total of 79 tests were done and those that were tested were spoilt with sugar-free treats and peace of mind.

The Lions carry out diabetes screenings on the second Saturday of every month at Seadoone Mall.
