The Warner Beach South Neighbourhood Watch's Christmas night walk saw hundreds of people walking down Gus Brown Road in their Christmas best.

Under moonlight and sparkling raindrops, the Warner Beach South Neighbourhood Watch’s (WBSNW) annual Christmas Walk had participants in high spirits as hundreds of people took to Gus Brown Road on December 13 for a magical night full of community solidarity, festive fun and sweets galore.

Karen MacRae, PRO for WBSNW, said that each year, children always arrive in the cutest Christmas outfits. The walk supports WBSNW’s camera network around Warner Beach and Winklespruit and bolsters their tireless efforts to keep the neighbourhood safe.

Homeowners along Gus Brown Road and Harcomb Road decorated their properties ahead of Christmas with lights and decor fit for a fairytale, and handed out sweets and treats to children as they walked along the road. At the end of the walk, participants were able to enjoy a food court, supporting local organisations and businesses.

“We would like to send out a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s night walk such a wonderful success. From the festive lights to the smiling faces, and yes, even the rain, it truly was a magical night filled with community spirit. Thank you to homeowners for opening your homes and allowing us to take over Gus Brown and Harcombe Roads for the evening. Your beautiful decorations and cheerful gate stands created such a festive atmosphere. Not even the rain could dampen your enthusiasm, you were incredible. Wishing you all a safe, happy, and joy-filled Christmas and New Year,” said MacRae.
