Club chairperson Wynand Grobler excitedly shared that this year the club will have more outings and technical workshops each month, paving the way for members to learn about the art of photography.

“We want to attract the youth to join our club as they are the future of photography and photography clubs in South Africa. We hope to impart to them knowledge of the finer details of photography,” said Wynand.

He shared that currently youth members are being trained on the technical intricacies of photography.

“We have a website that will be up and running in the next two weeks as well, which we are very excited about. The Sapphire Coast Camera Club was the fastest growing club in KZN and did very well in both the provincial and national competitions. Our members are all at different skill levels, ranging from social novices to more experienced photographer and we are always happy to have new members join us on outings and events regardless of your skill level,” said Grobler.

He added that the club prides itself on nature conservation and enjoys monthly outings to places like the Tala Game Reserve and Umdoni Nature Reserve. For more information on the club, contact Wynand Grobler on 084 244 5317.
