Wildlife rehabilitation centre hosts environmental workshop
Crow is celebrating World Environmental Education Day with a workshop geared towards enriching young minds.
IN CELEBRATION of World Environmental Education Day, observed on January 26, the Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (Crow) will host a hands-on wildlife enrichment workshop designed to inspire young minds to foster deeper connections with nature.

Operations director of Crow, Clint Halkett-Siddall, explained that the workshop will give children the opportunity to explore, discover and learn about wildlife conservation through practical activities that mirror real-life rehabilitation and enrichment techniques used at Crow.

Crow encourages businesses, schools, communities and individuals to take part in the educational activities during the workshop on January 31 at 15A Coedmore Avenue, Yellowwood Park from 09:00-12:00. It focuses on Grade Rs up to Grade 7s at R100 per child.
Activities include:
- Animal enrichment activities
- A guided tortoise walk
- Educational discussions focused on wildlife care, conservation, and environmental responsibility
