Lexi was last seen on January 13, and has not been located despite ongoing efforts and widespread appeals on social media. Her owner, Sorika Roos, said she remains deeply concerned, particularly as there is a possibility the dog may no longer be in the immediate area.
“There is a chance that someone passing through Amanzimtoti Main Beach may have picked her up and taken her to another area, which is why wider sharing is so important,” said Roos.
Lexi is described as a petite, short-legged Jack Russell weighing about 5kg, with white brown markings. Roos believes the dog may be frightened and disoriented.
“She is very anxious. If anyone sees her, please do not chase her or approach her quickly, as she will run. If possible, keep your distance, sit down and speak softly, and call me immediately,” she said.
A reward is being offered for Lexi’s safe return, and even a possible sighting or indication of her direction of travel could prove vital.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Sorika Roos on 079 880 9735.
