Pipers given their flowers after Highland Gathering [Pics]

The best pipe bands and drummers from around the country, and some international pipers, competed in the South Coast Highland Gathering.

SPLENDID sunshine graced the fields of Hutchison Park for the 63rd annual South Coast Highland Gathering, hosted by the Lions Club of Amanzimtoti, on May 2.

From the early morning light until sunset, an estimated 8 000 visitors joined in on the fun and witnessed world-class competition with 22 bands from across the country and eight international bands.
