Woman dies while on her way to work in Doonside

Lungile Mvuyana of Umlazi worked at Seadoone Mall Checkers, and her family members started panicking when she did not arrive at work.

A hit-and-run incident in Isipingo on June 14 led to the death of a woman who was on her way to work in Doonside, leaving her family searching for answers.

Lungile Mvuyana of Umlazi worked at Seadoone Mall Checkers, and her family members started panicking when she did not arrive at work that morning. Her sister, Cindy Mvuyana, later took to social media asking for help to locate her after her colleagues notified the family that she did not arrive at work.

Cindy later announced that following a frantic search they found an injured Lungile at Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital later that morning. However, shortly thereafter, it was announced that morning that she had died.

At the time of publishing, no arrests had been made, and the car that was involved in the incident had not been identified.
