Usizo-lomndeni.org learning centre launches with a bang

An Ezimangweni-based non-profit organisation recently started an all-new learning centre focused on coffee-making.

USIZO-lomndeni.org, an Ezimangweni township-based non-profit organisation, proudly launched its new learning centre with an exciting barista workshop presented by Perk Up Coffee on July 4.

Over a dozen participants enjoyed a fun, hands-on day of learning coffee-making skills, while gaining valuable experience that could lead to future employment opportunities.

Usizo-lomndeni.org’s Zoe Bridge said at the end of the workshop every participant received a certificate of completion.

Carl Mentoor, Perk Up Coffee’s energetic coffee-makers, Sbusiso Zibani and Sphamandla Mkhize, and Zoe Bridge.

“This is the first of many skills development programmes aimed at empowering our community through education, training, and opportunity. A huge thank you to Perk Up Coffee for helping make our launch a wonderful success. Together, we are building brighter futures, one skill at a time,” said Bridge.
