New era begins as Kingsburgh Lions induct their president

The Kingsburgh Lions Club's new president, Esmé Nel, plans to increase membership and impact.

AS THE Kingsburgh Lions Club celebrates its 51st year of service to the community, a warm atmosphere of celebration filled the Amanzimtoti Golf Club on July 11, when Esmé Nel was officially inducted as president of the non-profit service organisation.

The formal induction was conducted by Zone 8 chairman, André Beetge. Reflecting on her appointment as president, Nel expressed both gratitude and a strong vision for the upcoming year.

“I am honoured and thrilled to be elected as the president of Kingsburgh Lions Club. I want my year to be a year of service to our community and my goal is to increase our membership so that we can do more for our people,” said Nel.

Following the ceremony, attendees gathered for a festive luncheon and celebration. Nel was joined by family, friends, and fellow club members to mark the beginning of her presidential term.
