Club president Tony Marron formally inducted Gumede into the renowned service organisation’s ranks during the recent June business meeting. Her sponsor, president-elect Esmé Nel, stood proudly beside her during the ceremony.

“We are thrilled that Thato has joined us. The more members we have, the more we can help in our local community.  We hope to see Thato getting the word out about the wonderful work Lions do in our community and all over the world, especially to our younger community people and groups,” said Marron.

He emphasised that the club is particularly excited about the fresh new perspective Gumede brings to the fold.

The Kingsburgh Lions Club is always on the lookout for passionate volunteers who want to make a difference. If you are interested in finding out more about the club and its projects, contact Tony Marron on 064 994 3275 or send an email to LPKingburghLionsClub@gmail.com.
