Eloquent Isipingo Beach learner wows the crowd

An Isipingo Beach learner stood out as she represented both her school and district in an eThekwini Municipality storytelling competition.

ISIPINGO Beach Intermediate School learner, Sumayya Badat, wowed the crowd with a strong display of storytelling prowess on March 5 at Austerville Primary.

The Grade Five learner proudly represented her school and district at the eThekwini Municipality District 6 storytelling competition.

Sumayya’s principal, Mohamed Shiraz Ismail, said that she enchanted the crowd with her expression, clarity and gestures while telling the story of “The Whistling Monster”.

He added that she shows great potential, excelling academically while balancing participating enthusiastically in extracurricular activities. “The school and community is proud of Sumayya’s achievements and look forward to seeing more from this talented learner,” concluded Ismail.
