NOTICE OF WATER USE LICENCE APPLICATION (WULA) Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 21 of the National Water Act, 1998 (Act 36 of 1998) that an application for a Water Use Licence (WULA) has been submitted for the taking of water
from a borehole at Cotswold Square Shopping Centre, 107 Inanda Road, Portion 791 (of 788) of Farm Upper End of Lange Fontein No. 980, Hillcrest, eThekwini, KwaZulu-Natal. The development comprises an existing retail shopping centre with approximately 30 retail units. The proposed water use entails abstraction of groundwater from an existing onsite borehole to supplement municipal supply during periods of water interruptions, ensuring continued operation of the centre. The application is being processed in terms of GN R.267 of 24 March 2017 (WULA Regulations) via the Department of Water and Sanitation`s e-WULAAS system. Interested and Affected Parties (I&APs) are invited to register and submit written comments within 60 days from the date of publication of this notice.
